Product Description

Town and country music from the 1800’s.  Kontra dancing from the 1600’s was a type of country dance from the English tradition.  Around the 1700’s these dances were popular in France.  These dances from England and France eventually spread to Norway.  One of the most popular composers in that period was Anders Sorensen (1821-1896).  Much of his music is still popular today.  Another composer, Hans Balstad, a well known artist, also has his own band.  You will enjoy these historical turdances from Austlandet.
