IDYLLIC by Christian Skredsvig
This peaceful scene of rural life is one of Skredsvig's most famous paintings. Idyllic was painted in 1888. The man in the picture, Ole Eggum, was the strongest man in Eggedal valley. The buildings shown are still standing today. Available in two (2) sizes.
   
SCREAM / SKRIKET by Edvard Munch
Edvard Munch's world famous work of art, The Scream was one of a series of paintings in his Frieze of Life, which also included works depicting sickness, death, anxiety and love. The "Scream" has come more and more to be accepted as Edvard Munch's most significant motif.  Munch painted The Scream in 1893. The painting, housed in Oslo, Norway's Munch Museum was one of the country's most-prized possessions. Available in two (2) sizes.

Of all Skredsvig's paintings, this one, without a doubt, is the best known. Painted in 1889, it was based on a poem by Bjornstjerne Bjornson. The boy who stood as a model for the picture was at one time a farmhand at Fleskum. Skredsvig took 14 days to paint this pictures. Available in two (2) sizes.
